Transition to eco-sustainable agriculture

Agri PAC World is a Swedish and South African agri-biotech company that develops products to help farmers transition to a more efficient agriculture. We focus on two key challenges in modern farming: the overuse of synthetic nitrogen and the decline of soil fertility. These issues not only jeopardise the sustainability of agricultural practices but also threaten the global food supply.

Necessary for soil fertility

Nitrogen is the most needed nutrient for the plants. In today’s agriculture, the form of nitrogen most commonly used is urea, followed by ammonium nitrate. These synthetic fertilisers are inefficient to the point that at least 30% of given nitrogen can’t be used by the plants.

To compensate for this waste, many farmers add excessive amounts of extra nitrogen and this excess is harmful to the crops and environment, from the fields where it burns the plants’ roots to the seas where it causes algal blooms and dead zones.

Unmatched sustainable green fertilisers

Furthermore, these fertilisers do not contain organic matter, such as humic substances, which are necessary for soil fertility. Unfortunately, agricultural practices like plowing, monoculture, removing leftover plant bits and using synthetic fertilisers consistently take away organic matter from the soil, in particular humic substances.

To help farmers restore soil fertility, Agri PAC World has developed several products based on humic substances. And thanks to the unique source of bio-stimulants rich humic substances we’ve found, our products have an unmatched effect.

A groundbreaking technology

Through years of extensive and innovative research, we have developed a groundbreaking technology to efficiently convert cheap synthetic urea into green nitrogen*, by binding it to the humic acids (humates-bound). It works at industrial scale and it can reach up to an unprecedented 27% (m/m) of green nitrogen.

This green nitrogen product releases the nitrogen at a slow pace, which increases its use efficiency up to 30 % as the soil then can retain nitrogen and water until the plants need them. This promotes root growth and a higher nutrient uptake by the plant.

Our product portofolio contains of Humegro Green Nitrogen™, which is the ultimate slow-release liquid fertiliser, applicable either on soil or directly on plants, as well as Humegro Fullspec™, a liquid soil improver containing humic and fulvic acids with a high concentration of natural phytohormones (plant hormones) and bio-stimulants. We also offer the Humate-Activator Package™. This is a toolkit, including a blending manual, with which you can convert a synthetic nitrogen fertiliser to your own sustainable green nitrogen fertiliser.

Collaborations

In order to continually refine and enhance our products, we conduct analyses of our products and test them on different crops and soils in collaboration with farmers, companies and prestigious universities in Sweden, South Africa and China.
