Our humic substances
The key to soil health
Soil fertility depends a lot on organic matter, like humic substances. They help the soil maintain structure, and hold onto water and nutrients, which are fundamental for plants to grow well. Regrettably, many of today’s agricultural practices (such as monoculture, tilling and using only synthetic fertilisers) are consistently draining the soil of this organic matter.
Keep agricultural soil fertile
The soil itself tries to replenish the humic substances but it takes years for it to produce them from fresh plant material. So, to keep agricultural soil fertile, we need to add humic substances and here’s where our unique products come in. Unlike synthetic fertilisers, they are all about restoring soil with natural ingredients.
By improving soil texture, pH, and increasing cation exchange capacity, our products allow the soil to retain and gradually release water and available nutrients for the plants. In this way, they prevent run-off and leaching of nutrients.
Stronger plants and increased crop yields
Humic substances are divided into three groups: fulvic acids, humic acids, and humins. We use fulvic and humic acids because they are water-soluble. These two acids release natural bio-stimulants and phytohormones (plant hormones) which support the plants to grow stronger, improve nutrient uptake, stimulate root growth, bolster resistance to diseases and abiotic stresses (e.g. drought) and thus they increase the yields of crops, vegetables and fruits.
Unmatched effectiveness
We at Agri PAC World have found a source of humic substances uniquely rich in bio-stimulants and phytohormones. This richness gives our products an unmatched effectiveness.
Our humic substances naturally contain a full spectrum of phytohormones such as;
- Cytokinins – Promote shoot growth and delay leaf senescence
◦ tZ = trans-zeatin, iP = isopentenyl adenine, MeS-ZR = 2-methylthio zeatin riboside - ABAs – Increase plant tolerance to drought and salt stress
◦ ABA = abscissic acid, 9OH-ABA = 9-hydroxy-ABA - Jasmonates – Increase plant resistance to certain diseases and pests
◦ JA = Jasmonic Acid, JA-Ile = JA-isoleucine, DiH-JA = dihydrojasmonic acid - Auxins – Increase root growth and prevent fruit drop
◦ IAA = indole-3-acetic acid, OxIAA = oxo-IAA, I3A = indole-3-aldehyde - Phenolics – Promote shoot and root growth, and improve yield quality
◦ SA = salicylic acid, BzA = Benzoic acid, PAA = Phenylacetic acid, PAAM = Phenylacetamide, Chlorogenic Acid
